You may have heard about Lord Brennan's Private Member's Bill which had its first reading recently. In it he asks for the criminal injuries compensation scheme to be extended to cover those affected by terrorist attacks abroad, thereby providing them with much needed financial assistance.
The second reading is scheduled for 16th March. Lovells (solicitors) has been working with the national charity Liberty on ways in which to make the Bill a reality. We need 100 members of the House of Lords to attend the second reading in order for the Bill to progress.Therefore, I am asking if you are able to assist me with publising the Bill in the run up to its second reading.
I am appealing to ALL members of the House of Lords to attend this second reading and give us their support, which we need so badly.
